United Breweries launches Sahara Force India Commemorative Kingfisher cans

Mumbai, October 25, 2011: With less than a week for India’s most glamorous racing event, all eyes are set on India’s very own team - Sahara Force India, backed by none other than Kingfisher. India’s best selling beer, Kingfisher launched limited edition Sahara Force India commemorative Kingfisher Premium & Kingfisher Strong cans to celebrate the sport. These limited edition packs were unveiled by Sahara Force India drivers Adrian Sutil, Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg.

The unveiling was done amidst celebration and cheer as Adrian, Paul and Nico were ushered in with the beats of a scintillating percussion performance at Hard Rock Café, Worli.

Commenting on the launch, Samar Singh Sheikhawat, Senior Vice President Marketing, United Breweries Ltd. said, "We are anticipating a thrilling weekend of racing and Kingfisher will spread cheer as the exclusive beer at this ‘most coveted event’ of the year. The commemorative Sahara Force India Kingfisher cans will be available in a pack size of 500ml, in both the premium and strong beer categories. This is a part of the brand's ongoing commitment to spreading ‘GOOD TIMES’ amongst sport fans, giving them their favourite beer to drink and cheer the team for which a billion hearts beat. Fans can enjoy their favourite beer at any of the premium pubs and lounges or buy it from prominent retail outlets, across key cities.

Expectations are high from Adrian Sutil, Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg to keep the Indian-owned team’s flag flying high. In a contest held earlier this month, Kingfisher Premium chose 75 lucky consumers for an all-expense paid three day trip to Delhi to witness the Sahara Force India team compete with the best teams from across the world. Few winners of this contest got a chance to collect their tickets for the race, personally autographed by Adrian Sutil, Paul Di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg at the unveiling ceremony.

Kingfisher also announced the winners of its online contest. Three talented fans- Vickram Saigal; a smart photographer with the most compelling images, Binoy Parikh an eloquent writer and blogger with the ability to weave magic with words and Nabeel Naroolah an amateur videographer who had submitted an interesting 2 minute video on city life at its fastest, won all-expense paid trips to watch the exciting race over the coming weekend. These three winners will cover the race as the official Kingfisher fans.
