Delhi Half Marathon opens registrations; names new partners

NEW DELHI: Procam International Wednesday announced that registrations for the 15th edition of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (ADHM), scheduled for October 20, are now open.

The start line of this IAAF Gold Label race is expected to see 35,000 runners across five categories, i.e. Half Marathon (21.097km), Great Delhi Run (5km), Open 10K, Senior Citizens’ Run (3.2km) and Champions with Disability (3.2km), as they run through the fast and picturesque course of the capital.  

Extending their support in bringing this world-class sporting event to Delhi, telecom giants Bharti Airtel continue as title sponsors for the twelfth successive year.

NEW PARTNERS: For the 2019 edition, two new brands have joined ADHM's partner roster.

HELP-AGE INDIA - INSTITUTION PARTNER: The Senior Citizens category will be supported by the NGO, Help-Age India, as the Institution Partner. Established in 1978, Help-Age’s mission is to work for the cause and care of disadvantaged older individuals and improve the quality of their life. With their experience and in-depth understanding of this segment of society, this association will help re-energise the senior citizens category.

GREAT DELHI RUN (GDR): A kaleidoscope of colour and soul of the event, this category has undergone a transformation. This year, to enhance participants’ experience and inspire new runners to take up running, GDR, will be a timed category. GDR participants will be awarded a timing certificate and a finishers’ medal post-race, which they can use for official entry into other running events.

DELHI CAPITALS: Delhi Capitals, the IPL franchise that finished third in the 2019 season, joins hands with the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, pledging to make Delhi fitter. The aim is to encourage citizens to embrace a fitter and healthier lifestyle round the year, and make fitness a way of life.

REGISTRATION DETAILS
Registration for all race categories including Half Marathon, Open 10K, Great Delhi Run (5km), Senior Citizens’ Run (3.2km) and the Champions with Disability Run (3.2km) will commence on Wednesday 7th August at 0700 hrs and stay open until 1900 hrs on 27th September 2019 or till running places are filled, whichever is earlier.

ADVANTAGE WOMEN: Over the years, the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon has successfully empowered women in the capital to own the streets of Delhi. Each passing year has given rise to a new breed of quality women runners. To continue this trend forward, there is a limited number of running places reserved, in the Half Marathon and the Open 10K, for women applicants, who cannot produce a timing certificate.

PROCAM SLAM
2019-20 edition of Procam Slam is launched with renewed vigour. Runners will be rewarded with a Running Kit, get to choose their special number Running Bib, Procam Slam Medal, a commemorative Procam Slam Frame, Extended Registration Period, Cash prizes and more.

A runner can start his/her Procam Slam by participating in any of the four Procam feature races and running the subsequent three distance running events with effect from 1st April 2019. It is clarified that the runner will not be eligible for more than one Procam Slam cycle, from their 1st event till the 4th consecutive event.
