HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced a cash prize of Rs 20 million to Aruna Budda Reddy, who won a Bronze medal at the recently concluded World Gymnastics championships in Melbourne, Australia.
Aruna created history by becoming the first woman from India to win Bronze at the event.
She met Rao at Pragati Bhavan, the official residence of the chief minister, here on Sunday.
Rao congratulated and felicitated her and also announced the cash award. He has instructed that her coach Sri Brij Kishore should also be given some assistance.
