NEW DELHI: The Sports Ministry on Saturday filed an affidavit in the Delhi High Court informing the court of its decision to give recognition to wrestling and weightlifting federations, reported Hindustan Times. The Wrestling Federation of India and Indian Weightlifting Federation will be the first among the 57 derecognized National Sports Federations to get their recognition back.

NEW DELHI: The 2019 edition of the Asian Senior (Men & Women) Weightlifting Championships has been allotted to India, a first for the country.
The championships will also double up as a qualifying event for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
