NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) kept aside Rs 500 million for advertisement and promotion of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the same as for last year, it has been revealed.
The BCCI in its budget for the 2019 edition of the tournament calculated the expense on advertisement and promotion at Rs 500 million as per documents accessed by IANS. Interestingly, the 2018 edition had also seen them invest the same amount in promoting the world's most lucrative T20 league.
