Audi Quattro Cup 2019 India concludes

BENGALURU: Audi India recently concluded the India leg of the largest golf tournament series played by non-professionals. Interestingly, it is the largest amateur golf tournament played across the world. Participants from across the country took part in the tournament. The final match was held at the Prestige Golfshire Club in Bengaluru.

Dr Kaushal Anand and Sumit Pant represented team Ahmedabad and emerged winners by scoring an unbeatable 47 points.

750 amateur golfers participated in the India leg of the Audi Quattro Cup 2019. This year marks the 29th anniversary of the Audi Quattro Cup globally, however the India edition is celebrating its 12th year in the country. Interestingly, Audi made its India foray in 2007 and is celebrating its 12th anniversary this year.
Officials at Audi believe the tournament gives an opportunity to golf lovers to represent their talent who share mutual admiration for Audi automobiles.

Audi India head Rahil Ansari was present at the event and congratulated the winners. Being held in India since the last 12 years, the Audi Quattro Cup has emerged as the crème of corporate golf events.

While Team Ahmedabad won the tournament, Team Bhubaneswar (Satyajit Mishra and JB Pany) stood second at 36 points followed by Team Mumbai (Satish Gupta and Aditya Patel) bagging the third spot with 34 points.

The Final match followed the ‘Greensome Stableford’ format which allows both the players to drive the ball and select the best one out of two. This format also gives players the flexibility to alternate before holing out.

The winners will now participate in the World finals 2019 which will be held in Kitzbühel, Austria.
