LONDON: UK-based India Business Group (IBG) has joined forces with World Snooker to help expand the cue sport's global footprint, with particular focus on the Indian market.

Incidentally, next year marks the the 145th anniversary of the game being founded in India, also the place where polo, chess and modern-day badminton were invented.

MUMBAI: The franchise-based league "Cue Slam" may have only had a one-season innings in 2017, but ace cueist Pankaj Advani still sees a similar televised league as being of help in the growth of snooker and billiards in the country.
