NEW DELHI: India’s Davis Cup captain Rohit Rajpal has been elected as president of the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) for a second straight four-year term.

Rajpal’s re-election to the post was unanimous at the DLTA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, and so was former Davis Cupper Balram Singh’s election as secretary general (Sports), PTI reports.

Rajeev Khanna, who was treasurer in the previous term, is now secretary general (admin).

Aditya Khanna, son of ITF vice president and former AITA president Anil Khanna, is the new treasurer.

NEW DELHI: The French Tennis Federation (FFT), organisers of Roland-Garros, the world’s premier clay court tournament, in association with the All India Tennis Association (AITA), Tuesday announced the sixth edition of the ‘Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by OPPO’.  The series will be held at the clay courts of the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) from 24th-26th February.

NEW DELHI: The newly launched Pro Tennis League kicked off here Tuesday, with Indian Davis Cuppers Saketh Myneni and Arjun Kadhe as the headline names. The "league", which runs from Tuesday through to 22 December, also has former players such as Vishal Uppal and Ashutosh Singh, participating.
