MADRID: LaLiga has launched an invitation to tender (ITT) for the audiovisual rights to the competition within the Indian Subcontinent, offering a range of packages to help the competition build on its growing presence in the region.

Bidders have been invited to submit offers for the 2021/22 season onwards, covering a minimum of three and a maximum of five seasons. 

While issuing its ITT, LaLiga declared it was "very satisfied" with incumbent rights holder Facebook, which "has provided data to demonstrate consistent growth in the Indian Subcontinent".

MUMBAI: LaLiga has announced three programmes - 'LaLiga StayAtHome' , 'LaLiga Nations' and 'LaLiga Clubs' - for football fans in the Indian subcontinent on LaLiga’s Facebook page.  Through these programmes LaLiga aims to highlight the best of the league beyond football to help strengthen the fan base and connect with newer audiences despite the ongoing postponement of the competition.

MUMBAI: The agreement has not been signed, sealed and delivered as yet but SportzPower can confirm that Facebook is close to securing the media rights for LaLiga in this market for the next four-year cycle.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India has acquired exclusive media rights from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for the Indian subcontinent (Pakistan and Sri Lanka included) for a period of five years starting in 2018 through 2022.
