It was originally feared that the trophy - considered by The Arts Council to be an item of International Historic Significance - would be privately purchased and taken overseas.

LONDON: Arsenal have secured a £120-million ($163m) short term loan facilty to help the club's cashflow through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. "As we continue to work through the implications of the global pandemic on our finances, we can confirm today that the club has met the criteria set by the Bank of England for the Covid Corporate Financing Facility (CCFF)," the Premier League club announced Thursday.

MUMBAI: The BCCI is reportedly set to notify a base price of Rs 15 billion for potential suitors planning to bid for any one of the two new Indian Premier League teams that will put up for auction from the 2022 season. Which is a fair number considering that in 2018, when JSW took a 50% stake in then Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), it was at a valuation of Rs 11 billion.

MUMBAI: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has agreed to buy out IMG Worldwide LLC from their sports management joint venture for Rs 520.8 million. The nation's biggest corporate by market value, in a stock exchange filing on December 24, declared it will buy IMG Worldwide's 50 per cent stake in IMG-Reliance Ltd (IMG-R) for no more than Rs 52.08 crore (Rs 520.8 million) in cash.
