FanCode adds DTM racing series to motorsports portfolio

MUMBAI: Digital sports platform will be exclusively broadcasting the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) for its 40th anniversary season in India. 

The sports car racing series, DTM, is based in Germany, and features top-tier sports car racing action across Europe. Encompassing the entire eight-event series, the partnership will allow Indian fans to catch all the action live on FanCode from 26th April to 20th October. 

India’s racing sensation Arjun Maini will be in action for the Mercedes-AMG team.

MotoGP eSport C'ship strikes 3-yr partnership with telecom giant
MADRID: MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports Tuesday announced a new three-year partnership with CKH Innovations Opportunities Development (CKH IOD), a unit of CK Hutchison Group Telecom Holdings.  The agreement sees two of the leading 3 Group brand companies – 3 Austria and WINDTRE – become partners of the MotoGP eSport Championship from 2020 to 2022 – with the potential for other 3 Group companies to follow.

COVID-19: 3 MotoGP races, MotoE World Cup, cancelled
MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna Sports on Wednesday jointly announced the cancellation of the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland (German GP), the Motul TT Assen (Dutch GP) and the Grand Prix of Finland (Finnish GP).  The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has obliged the cancellation of all three events.

F1 to flag off curtailed season in Austria on July 5
LONDON: Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey has provided an update to fans on the latest developments on the 2020 F1 calendar, including a target start date and location.  Although it was announced Monday morning that the French Grand Prix, due to take place in late June, will not be going ahead, "we are now increasingly confident with the progress of our plans to begin our season this summer", Chase said.

WRC scores esports partner deal with Fanatec
WRC PROMOTER GmbH, commercial rights holders of the FIA World Rally Championship, has completed a multi-year agreement with sim racing hardware experts Fanatec to become the official partner of the WRC’s eSports activities. 2nd edition of FIA Motorsport Games postponed to 2021
MONACO: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic currently affecting the world and its expected consequences for motorsport, the second edition of the FIA Motorsport Games, initially scheduled to take place on 23-25 October, will now be held on 22-24 October 2021.  This multi-disciplinary competition between various nations, will retain the host city of Marseille with the racing action staged at Circuit Paul Ricard.
