DOHA: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the State of Qatar welcomed the June 16 ruling by the World Trade Organization (WTO) that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had breached intellectual property rights (IPR) by refusing to take action against the beoutQ piracy channel and instead actively promoted this piracy.

AFC condemns Saudi piracy of Asian Cup t'cast

KUALA LUMPUR: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Wednesday condemned broadcasts of games stolen from Qatari rights holder BeIN Sports by Saudi-backed pirate entity ‘beoutQ’. WTO panel to probe beIN charges on Saudi piracy

GENEVA: The World Trade Organization has said it would investigate Qatar's allegations of intellectual property breaches against Saudi Arabia, dismissing Riyadh's objection over what it said were national security concerns. A Geneva trade official said on Tuesday the WTO had agreed "to establish a panel to rule on Saudi Arabia's alleged failure to provide adequate protection of intellectual property rights".
