Colombo HC rules in favour of Discovery on DSport

NEW DELHI: Two months after Lex Sportel Vision Pvt Ltd reportedly won a favourable court ruling in Sri Lanka over rights to the DSport mark in its long-running legal dispute with Discovery Communications, the American media conglomerate declared Thursday that the High Court of Colombo had dismissed LSV's "interim application".

SILVER SPRING, Md.: Discovery Communications, Inc., parent company of international sportscaster Eurosport, has rebranded as Discovery, Inc. following the completion of its acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc.  Discovery also operates the DSport sports channel in the Indian market while its parent Liberty Media, controlled by John C Malone, owns Formula 1.
