FIM, Dorna announce Women’s Motorcycling World C'ship

The Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto hosted a very special presentation on Saturday as the FIM and MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports announced a new project: the FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship. 

The new competition is intended to widen access to the sport of motorcycle racing for women and create a platform of representation for female riders.

Red Bull extends long-running sponsor deals with Dorna
MADRID: Dorna Sports has announced an extension to its partnership with energy drink major Red Bull.  The agreement will see Red Bull title sponsor both the 2020 Gran Premio de España and 2020 Gran Premio de Andalucía, which are set to take place at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto from the 17th to the 19th of July and the 24th to the 26th of July, respectively.

MotoGP cancels UK, Australian, Japan races
MADRID: The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports have announced the cancellation of the Japan, British and Australian Grands Prix.  The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has obliged the cancellation of the three races, which were set to take place from 16th to 18th of October at Japan's Twin Ring Motegi. The home of MotoGP manufacturers Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki, Japan is vital to the global presence and success of MotoGP.

MotoGP eSport C'ship strikes 3-yr partnership with telecom giant
MADRID: MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports Tuesday announced a new three-year partnership with CKH Innovations Opportunities Development (CKH IOD), a unit of CK Hutchison Group Telecom Holdings.  The agreement sees two of the leading 3 Group brand companies – 3 Austria and WINDTRE – become partners of the MotoGP eSport Championship from 2020 to 2022 – with the potential for other 3 Group companies to follow.
