NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation's new executive council has set itself a goal of increasing its annual budget of Rs 110-odd crores ten-fold over the next four years.

AIFF Secretary General Shaji Prabhakaran made this ambitious assertion Thursday in an interview to PTI. 

Prabhakaran told the newswire: “Today we have a budget of Rs 110 crore. We cannot do anything with this. We cannot even do justice to our own competitions, forget international exposure, grassroots development, capacity building, supporting member associations etc.

NEW DELHI: Football Delhi is seeking permission from the the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to manage and run Ambedkar Stadium on a lease of ‘at least 20 years’. Football Delhi president Shaji Prabhakaran has written to the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), requesting them to handover the Ambedkar Stadium on a lease of ‘at least 20 years.’

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Soccer Asociation (DSA) has decided to launch a new elite competition for clubs and has named it the Delhi Premier Football League.  If all goes accoring to plan, the league will have six to eight teams and the criteria of licensing would be decided by March 2018, The Hindu reports.
