CHENNAI: Fantasy sports platform newbie Sportasy has partnered with five teams in the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League. 

The five teams are – Lyca Kovai Kings, Siechem Madurai Partners, iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, Nellai Royal Kings, and Ruby Trichy Warriors. 

In addition, the Ernakulam-based gaming platform has signed up Team India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Shivam Dube as brand ambassador. 

Sportasy, registered as Blossomfield Gamingzone Pvt. Ltd., offers daily fantasy sports contests and online fantasy sports tournaments.

CHENNAI: Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT), leading manufacturer of off-highway tires, has signed on with Sankar Cements Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) as the associate sponsors. TNPL will kick start its fourth edition on July 19, 2019. As associate sponsors, BKT’s partnership with TNPL will range across multiple areas including promotion and branding.

CHENNAI: A total of 878 players will feature in the 2019 draft of the Tamil Nadu Premier League with each ofthe eight franchises allowed to pick a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 22 players, which must include at least two district players. The order of picks for the draft will begin from the highest bidding franchise Tuti Patriot and end with iDream Karaikudi Kalai, the lowest bidder, the Hindu reports.

CHENNAI: The fourth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League will be held from July 19 to August 18. The final will be played at the MA Chidambaram stadium. The TNPL governing council met here on Saturday and finalised the dates.
