NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced a new broadcast partnership with Fox Sports Australia that will run until the conclusion of the 2023/24 cricket season. This deal covers all SA international men’s and women’s cricket for a period of four years.

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa confirmed Wednesday that the Proteas men’s team will travel to Pakistan for their first tour since 2007.  It will consist of a two-match Test and a three-match T20 series across three venues in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore respectively.

MUMBAI: England's tour of South Africa has been called off, Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) jointly announced Tuesday. The development follows the outbreak of COVID-19 among both teams' camps and staff at their hotel.  The two boards declared the decision was taken "to ensure the mental and physical health and welfare of players from both teams".

SRI LANKA WILL HOST of Asia Cup cricket championship in June next year, Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Executive Wasim Khan has stated. Pakistan was sceduled to host the Asia Cup this year but the coronavirus pandemic resulted in its postponement. With Sri Lanka now given the rights to host the Asia Cup in 2021, Pakistan will host the event in 2022, Khan told PTI.
