MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Player Auction list is out with a total of 590 cricketers set to go under the hammer during the two-day mega auction which will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

Amongst the 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.

KOCHI: The first Prime Volleyball League auction held here Tuesday saw 84 players from the 400+ that went "under the hammer" being picked up by PVL's seven franchises. Ashwal Rai, Karthik A and Jerome Vinith were acquired for the highest bids (Rs 1.5 million) by Kolkata Thunderbolts, Kochi Blue Spikers and Calicut Heroes respectively.

MUMBAI: After a two-year hiatus, vivo Pro Kabaddi League returns as the action unfolds with the player auction scheduled between August 29th and 31st.  The excitement around the auction started building when the top three raiders of the sport were confirmed to be a part of the auction pool - all-time leading scorer Pardeep Narwal, Rahul Chaudhari and Deepak Hooda could all be picked up by new teams.

MUMBAI: The IPL players auction ahead of the 2021 season is likely to be held on February 18, a BCCI official told PTI on Friday. "The auction will be held on February 18. The venue is yet to be decided," the official said. Accordimg to the Union government's preferred newswire ANI however, February 18 is not "locked" as yet though Chennai has been chosen as the venue.

MUMBAI: Player registration closed on 30th November with 971 players (713 Indian and 258 overseas players) signing up to be a part of the VIVO IPL 2020 player auction set to take place in Kolkata on 19th December.   Aiming to fill up the available 73 spots are 215 capped players, 754 uncapped and 2 players from Associate Nations.

MUMBAI: Indian Premier League franchises will get the opportunity to further strengthen their squad in December this year, when the auction for the next season are reportedly to be held. According to a report, it will be a mini auction, which will see a Rs 30 million increment to the salary cap of players which means the franchises can spend up to Rs 860 million.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court has dismissed, with costs, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by social activist Sudhir Sharma against the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) and Indian Premier League's (IPL) auction process. In his PIL, Sharma alleged that bidding of players in IPL is a violation of constitutional and statutory rights, calling it illegal and should be stopped.

MUMBAI: Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Saturday organized the player auction for the second edition of the T20 Mumbai League. The 2019 edition witnessed 155 players picked up by the eight franchises that will compete for the title. The league is to be held from 14–26 May at the Wankhede stadium.

MUMBAI: Day 1 of VIVO Pro Kabaddi season VII player auctions concluded here successfully in Mumbai with the first lot of multi-millionaires this season. The player auctions witnessed Siddharth Desai sold to Telugu Titans for Rs 14.5 million and Nitin Tomar retained by Puneri Paltan for Rs 12 million.
