Rishabh Pant appointed brand ambassador of Uttarakhand

DEHRADUN (Uttarakhand): Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been appointed as brand ambassador of Uttarakhand by state Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a programme organised at Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi on Thursday.

"Pant has made a mark in the world. He has brought laurels to the country and the state," said Dhami.

Dhami said that honouring Pant as Uttarakhand brand ambassador would inspire youth in the field of sports in the state.

Uttarakhand govt plotting adventure sports return in state
DEHRADUN: The tourism department of Uttarakhand is in the process of creating a draft policy for promoting adventure sports in the state.  The policy will include guidelines for conducting adventure sports and quality standards for equipment. It would be presented before the state cabinet for its ratification at the earliest, IANS reports.

HC bans adventure sport in Uttarakhand
NEW DELHI: The Uttarakhand High Court has banned paragliding, and white water rafting and other water sports until the administration puts in place a policy to regulate them, the stated reason cited being safety and environmental concerns.
