Goa cricket body adopts Lodha panel recommendations

MUMBAI: The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) has become the second cricketing body in the country to adopt a resolution to consider and approve its proposed new constitution as per the Justice RM Lodha Committee recommendations.

At a special general body meeting held on Sunday, the GCA adopted the resolution with 86 votes against one, becoming the second association, after the Vidarbha Cricket Associaiton, to adopt the resolution. 

"The special general body meeting of the association was held and agenda was to discuss an amendment to the Goa Cricket Association Act as per the recommendation of Lodha Committee. The resolution was adopted and it would be now placed before the Committee of Administrators (CoA)," GCA acting President Suraj Lotlikar told the media.

He added that the GCA was expecting that the CoA to release the funds now after adoption of the resolution accepting the panel's recommendations. The funds were needed to sustain the GCA's functioning, he said.
