Tata Motors First Full Throttle Trail concludes in Chandigarh

First adventure sports activity for customers, under the Tata Motors Full Throttle banner in Chandigarh
    Showcase ruggedness and capability of Tata Motors Utility Vehicles

The first edition of Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail, an extreme off-roading property for Tata Motors SUV owners, concluded successfully at Taj Chandigarh. The trailwas flagged off at 10:00 am from Taj Chandigarh and over 35 Tata Motorsvehicles participated in the activity.

Participation of vehicles from the Tata Motors stable included the Tata Safari, Tata Xenon, Tata Sumo and Tata Aria, in both 4x4 and 4x2 configurations. Each vehicle represented the toughness and ruggedness of Tata Motors vehicles. Customers from in and around Chandigarh attended the trail, maneuvering challenging routes and the rugged terrain. The trackhad been prepared specially for this off roading activity.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anand Totla, Regional Manager, PCBU North1, Tata Motors Ltd. said, "We are delighted to host the first edition of the Tata Motors Full Throttle Trail in Chandigarh, and are overwhelmed with response and participation received from Tata Motors customers from in and around the city. Through off-roading events like this, customers not only have the opportunity to go off-roading but also experience the tough and enduring nature of Tata Motors SUVs."

The trail comprised of various surfaces like slush beds, hills, bumpy courses, sand beds and many more. The trail was spread over two different locations near Mullanpur and it posed some exciting challenges to the participants.The participants needed to complete the trail within a maximum stipulated time, to qualify as finishers. Overall it was a very exciting experience for all the participants.

Through this initiative, a total of 21 trails' have been planned over the next few months, with each course being planned to exhibit the thrill, ruggedness, toughness and handling of Tata Motors SUV's, in off-road conditions. Off-road enthusiasts have the opportunity to not only experience their SUVs, but will also familiarise themselves with some serious off-road driving techniques, through a quick get away, in the proximity of their respective cities.

Tata Motors Full Throttle recently launched another property under the Full Throttle banner, called Tata Motors Full Throttle Experience. Full Throttle Experience is an off-roading expedition which will span over a number of days, with the first expedition being flagged off from New Delhi on June 22, 2012.

The Tata Sumo became the first passenger vehicle to cross 1 lakh units in 3 years.
