Arjuna Awardee golfer Harmeet Kahlon shares winning ways with India's top junior golfers

Bangalore, 28th May, 2012: Arjuna Awardee and Asian Tour winner Harmeet Kahlon was in Bangalore on Monday, conducting an educational and holistic clinic for India's top junior golfers ahead of the Toyota-IGU Southern India Juniors, providing enthusiastic junior golfers at the Karnataka Golf Association with invaluable tips on the game and on adapting to different courses and weather conditions.

While walking, one of Asia's most prized courses, interacting with the juniors through practice rounds at the KGA, Harmeet provided these ambitious young boys with specific tips on tackling the challenge at each hole as well as insights into dealing with the unique challenges and opportunities present on each course. Speaking on the clinic, Arjuna Awardee Kahlon said, "This year, we have modified the way the clinics are traditionally conducted, avoiding the classroom approach and actually working with each of the boys as they get acclimatized to the course conditions in different cities."

In keeping with his holistic approach of training the body and equipping the mind to deal with stress and pressure while competing at the highest levels, Harmeet opined, "I tell the golfers to play even the 18th hole as if it is the first hole, this helps to ease the pressure of expectations considerably."

With his rich experience on the Indian amateur and professional circuits, Harmeet has been conducting golf clinics for the junior golfers ahead of every tournament on the Toyota-IGU Junior National Tour for two years; offering tips on the sport that would improve their game making the transition into the amateur circuit smoother. With guidance from the seasoned pro, India's top junior golfers are raring to display their prowess on the course when the competition begins on the 29th of May.
