Digital leaders from 300 rights holders and brands discuss the future

The 2012 Leaders in Digital Sport conference, taking place on 10th and 11th October, launched this week with a number of key improvements and new features designed for top executives in digital.

The exclusive, invite-only event was launched in 2011 with a sell-out attendance of 250 director-level executives from over 25 countries and 30 different sports. The programme featured a series of keynote presentations from industry leaders, which included the President of MLB Advanced Media, Bob Bowman, and the BBC’s Director of Future Media, Ralph Rivera, shedding light on a range of top issues like the impact of social media on sport, how the next generation of sports fans will access and interact with content, and commercialising digital assets.

Following 6 months of dedicated research, and guidance from an expert Advisory Board comprising, amongst others, BSkyB, BBC, Manchester City FC, RFU, Chelsea FC, ESPN and AC Milan, a number of key topics and guest speakers have been identified for the 2012 programme.

Leaders CEO, James Worrall, says “The 2011 event was a huge success and I’m really excited about the plans for this year. We’re bringing the top people from across sport to examine global best practice in digital which always throws up some great innovations.”

He added “With such high-demand for tickets last year, we’re extending the 2012 programme to two days with an expanded range of cutting-edge topics. We’ll also be enhancing the overall event experience with more panel debates, interactive workshops, roundtable discussions and case studies.”

The standalone conference will take place on 10th and 11th October 2012 at the Leaders annual sport summit at Chelsea FC thereby providing an opportunity to network exclusively with digital experts as well as with director level sports executives from all over the world.

With 100 delegates already confirmed pre-launch due to the exclusive nature of the content and audience, places are very limited and will only go to individuals and organisations with a keen interest or track record in this area.
