The Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations (FICA) Tuesday released its third Men’s Professional Cricket Global Employment Report 2022. 

It bears noting that among all cricket's major national governing bodies, it is primarily the monopolistic BCCI that does not recognise FICA. Ironically, this is one matter where the Pakistan Cricket Board is on the same page as the all-powerful BCCI.

June 21: The Federation of International Cricketers' Association, a players' body that the monopolistic BCCI does not recognise, has appointed former Australian cricketer Lisa Sthalekar as its president.  The appointment was made official at the FICA executive committee meeting held in Nyon, Switzerland, this week.

THE FEDERATION OF INTERNATIONAL Cricketers' Associations, which represents the interests of players around the world with the exception of Indian men and women, is reportedly seeking commercial rights protections for their members from the International Cricket Council in third party commercial deals with ICC partners. And if push comes to shove, FICA could well take the legal route to obtain redress.

MUMBAI: As a first step towards resumption of international cricket in the country, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has engaged a security company for a three-year period. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi told a representative of the Federation of International Cricketers (FICA) will accompany the security company to personally monitor the security situation in Lahore,” he added.
