Gaming start-up Zupee raises $102m series B funding, partners Jio

MUMBAI: Gaming start-up Zupee has entered into a revenue-sharing partnership with Jio Platforms Ltd, alongside raising $72 million Series B funding from WestCap Group, Tomales Bay Capital, Nepean Capital, AJ Capital, Matrix Partners India and Orios Venture Partners.

The fresh funds are part of the company’s $102-million Series B funding round, of which $30 million was raised in August 2021. 

The fund-raise came at a $600 million valuation, the company said in an official statement. Overall, the company has raised $121 million across multiple rounds.

Gaming app Zupee raises $30m Series B funding
MUMBAI: Zupee, an Indian online skill-based gaming platform, has reportedly closed a $30m Series B funding round at a $500 million+ valuation. The round was co-led by WestCap Group and Tomales Bay Capital, with participation from Matrix Partners India. The company intends to use the funds to scale efforts through expansion of product portfolio and market reach and hiring of global talent.

MUMBAI: Plant-based nutrition brand OZiva has raised $12 million in a Series B round led by new investor Eight Roads Ventures, with participation from F-Prime Capital and existing investor Matrix Partners India. It is worth noting that just ahead of the official announcement around the fund raise, OZiva signed on Hindi film A lister Deepika Padukone as brand ambassador.
