MUMBAI: In view of the evolving Covid-19 situation in India, key stakeholders from the Government of Maharashtra met virtually with a delegation of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 on Wednesday to discuss the challenges, solutions and charter guidelines for the safe and successful hosting of Asia’s premier women’s national team competition.

NEW DELHI: India is one of the three countries that have expressed interest in hosting the AFC Women's Asian Cup football tournament in 2022.
Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan are the other countries in contention to host Asia's premier women's competition, the AFC stated.
