Gautam Singhania elected to FIA council

CHENNAI: Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) nominee Gautam Singhania has been elected to the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) World Motor Sports Council during the FIA Annual General Assembly in Paris held on Friday evening.

Racing enthusiast and industrialist Singhania polled 82 votes, and was one of 14 members from across the world to be elected out of 22 nominees.
