Football Delhi scores ONGC backing for Golden League

NEW DELHI: Football Delhi's efforts in putting together a structured format for grassroots has received a shot in the arm after Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) lent its support to the second edition of Golden League.

The league will begin on September 29 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium with 200 plus teams across three levels -- U-7, U-9 and U-11.

NEW DELHI: In what appears on first reading to be more about unintended fallout, the inter-ministerial committee (IMC) of the Union government, which had recently approved and submitted a list of 'non-core' assets of public sector undertakings (PSUs) for monetisation, is a golf course in Ahmedabad owned by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) that abuts two producing oil wells.
