MIAMI: The return of the Blue Bay LPGA to the tour's schedule will have to wait another year. The LPGA announced Thursday the cancellation of the 2020 event due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak in China.
The 2020 edition was slated for March 5-8.
A statement issued by the LPGA reads: "Given the current health concerns and significant travel restrictions put in place due to the coronavirus in China, the LPGA, along with our partners in China, have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Blue Bay LPGA, which was scheduled to take place March 5-8 on Hainan Island.
