Vijender set for pro return on March 19 in Goa on casino ship

MUMBAI: Reigning WBO Oriental and WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight champion Vijender Singh is set for a return to professional boxing, his first fight since November 2019, on March 19.

It will be the first instance when the 35-year-old Indian star will be seen in action on a rooftop deck at the Majestic Pride Casino Ship which will be docked on the Mandovi River in Panaji, Goa. The ship is a hub for gaming and entertainment.

IOS Sports signs rising javelin star Shivpal Singh
NEW DELHI: Indian sports management company IOS Sports & Entertainment on Friday announced the signing of young javelin sensation Shivpal Singh. The 24-year-old grabbed headlines earlier this year when he became only the second javelin thrower to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. He met the qualifying standard with an 85.47m throw at the ACNW Meeting in Potchefstroom in March.
