MUMBAI: The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has reportedly replaced struggling edtech platform Unacademy as an official partner of the Indian Premier League for the 2023 season.
Other than Unacademy, the IPL has Dream11, Cred, Upstok, Swiggy Instamart and RuPay as official partners, each of which pay an average of Rs 60 crore for a 74-match season.
If the report in Economic Times ultimately proves true, then STA would become the second Saudi firm after oil giant Aramco to sponsor the IPL. Aramco is the official Orange Cap and Purple Cap partner of the IPL.
