The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is planning to float a tender for the next cycle of Asia Cup media rights in the next one month, and is looking to complete the process by July, Cricbuzz reports. 

Per the cricket platform, the ACC will be offering both a four-year and eight-year deal but the impression from the broadcasters is that eventually the parties will settle for the long term option. There will be four Asia Cups in the tender with two 50-over championships and two Twenty20 competitions.

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League players auction will be held in Chennai on February 18. The news was confirmed on IPL's official Twitter handle on Wednesday.  The auction will be held a day after the scheduled second Test between India and England finishes in Chennai. The player retention deadline ended on January 20 and the trading window closes on February 4.

MUMBAI: The IPL players auction ahead of the 2021 season is likely to be held on February 18, a BCCI official told PTI on Friday. "The auction will be held on February 18. The venue is yet to be decided," the official said. Accordimg to the Union government's preferred newswire ANI however, February 18 is not "locked" as yet though Chennai has been chosen as the venue.

It was originally feared that the trophy - considered by The Arts Council to be an item of International Historic Significance - would be privately purchased and taken overseas.

MUMBAI: The BCCI is reportedly set to notify a base price of Rs 15 billion for potential suitors planning to bid for any one of the two new Indian Premier League teams that will put up for auction from the 2022 season. Which is a fair number considering that in 2018, when JSW took a 50% stake in then Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), it was at a valuation of Rs 11 billion.

MUSCAT, Oman: Doha, capital city of Qatar, will host the Olympic Council of Asia’s 21st Asian Games in 2030. Doha beat Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in a vote of 45 National Olympic Committees at the 39th OCA General Assembly held here and online on Wednesday, December 16.  Doha lasted hosted the Asian Games in 2006. Riyadh will host the 22nd Asian Games in 2034.
