NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

NEW DELHI: Tata Group’s NELCO, in partnership with Panasonic Avionics, on Wednesday launched in-flight wi-fi services in India, with Tata co-owned Vistara the first airline in the country to avail the facility. “NELCO is the first Indian company to provide this service in the country, marking the beginning of a new era of wi-fi on aircraft in Indian skies,” it said in a press release.

MUMBAI: The Indian Cricketers' Association (ICA) was on Sunday granted Rs 20 million by the BCCI to kick-start its operations. The decision was taken at the BCCI's apex council meeting here on Sunday.
