Portuguese supertar Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the Forbes list of the highest-paid athletes for a second year running.

Ronaldo also headed the list last year following his move to Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr.

The latest list of the highest-paid athletes released by Forbes reveals that the 39-year-old Portuguese forward earned $260 million over the past 12 months, up from $136m in the business magazine's 2023 listing.

MADRID: With the Spanish government giving the green signal to the clubs to resume training, LaLiga president Javier Tebas has suggested that the 2019-20 season should resume on June 12. “I don’t know when football will return. I don’t know if the most probable date is June 19, I would like it to be June 12,” said Tebas as quoted by Movistar as having aaid.
