UK bans its ‘football hooligans’ from WC
LONDON: The Football Banning Orders Authority (FBOA), a part of UK’s Home Office, has banned 1,254 local football hooligans from travelling to Russia during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. "More than 1,200 troublemakers with a history of football-related disorder have been blocked from going to the World Cup after a joint operation by police and the Home Office," a statement released by UK’s Home Office said.

FIFA World Cup: Sony sends notices to torrent sites
MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Network (India), host broadcaster in the Indian subcontinent for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia, has sent out take down notices to illicit streaming sites warning of legal action if they decide to stream matches from the tournament. FIFA files criminal complaint ticket reseller Viagogo
GENEVA: Ahead of the World Cup in Russia, FIFA has filed a criminal complaint against online ticket platform Viagogo – the same reseller used for the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens – in its crackdown on unauthorised ticket resales.  Football’s governing body reportedly received several complaints from individuals, consumer protection bodies and other market players over the deceptive business conduct of viagogo.
