NEW DELHI: The most powerful cricket body in the world has yet again been forced to eat humble pie after falling at the wrong end of the stick on the legal front. Needless to say, it is a seriously expensive pie. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly ready to cough up compensation of over Rs8 billion to IPL franchise Kochi Tuskers Kerala for terminating its contract in 2011, a massive mark-up on the Rs3 billion the team's promoters were initially willing to settle for.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) Wednesday sent an email to all 30 affiliated units of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, asking them to provide a list of "all their respective constituent members".  The CoA further wrote that a reply to the email must be sent by the state associations on or before 5pm on August 8.

NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has communicated to the International Cricket Council (ICC) its has not pencilled in Pakistan in any bilateral series, at least until 2023.  In its Future Tours Programme (FTP) submitted to world cricket's governing body for the years 2020-2023, India will neither host nor play Pakistan at a neutral venue.

NEW DELHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is setting up a reserve fund of around PKR1 billion (Rs610 million) to take care of the legal costs of filing a compensation claim against the Indian board before the ICC disputes resolution committee. PCB chairman, Shaharyar Khan said in an interview on Saturday that the board of governor's meeting on Friday had given approval for the budget to cover the legal costs.
