LONDON: IMG Wednesday announced it has renewed its international media rights distribution agreement with Cricket South Africa (CSA) until 2031.

The agency, which has been working with CSA for more than 30 years, was instrumental in securing the governing body’s recently announced Viacom18 Sports deal, which will see the channel air all senior men’s and women’s international competitions played in South Africa from 2024 to 2031.

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the country’s cricketers’ union, South African Cricketers’ Association (SACA) which will be valid till 2022. The MoU covers all the benefits and conditions of employment for all professional cricketers in South Africa including women’s and provincial cricketers for the first time in history.

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has made Thabang Moroe, its acting chief executive for the past year, permanent with immediate effect. He will serve a three-year contract. Moroe has been acting CEO since September last year when Haroon Lorgat was forced out following a breakdown in his relationship with the CSA board after South Africa's proposed T20 Global League ran into major controversy.

LAHORE: Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) move of launching a T20 league co-owned by SuperSport as a replacement of the now-scrapped T20 Global League has drawn the ire of a GLT20 franchise - Durban Qalandars.  ESPNCricinfo reports that the owners are planning to take the board to court, accusing it of violating the franchise rights agreement between them.

JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) and SuperSport are teaming up to deliver a "world-class" T20 competition to a South African and global audience. The two parties Friday announced a ground-breaking agreement in terms of which a new company will be formed, in which both CSA and SuperSport will be shareholders. CSA will hold the majority share. Both shareholders will contribute capital to fund the Newco.

MUMBAI: The inaugural edition of the T20 Global League has been postponed to November 2018. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cricket South Africa and T20 Global League boards on Tuesday. The tournament had hit a roadblock with the failure of the organisers to secure a broadcast deal, followed by the exit of CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat a fortnight ago.
