AIFF, FIFA brainstorm on India Talent Development Scheme

NEW DELHI: Delegates from FIFA are currently in India for a three-day meeting with the AIFF to help inculcate the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) in the country.

FIFA delegates Juerg Nepfer, head of Technical Development Services, and Chokey Nima, Regional Technical consultant, Global Football Development, South Asia, met with AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey and secretary general Dr Shaji Prabhakaran on Day 1 of the meet.

AFC-FIFA report sets time frame for ISL, I-league merger

Morocco commits $15.8bn in bid for 2026 World Cup
RABAT: Morocco will spend a total of $15.8 billion on stadiums and infrastructure if it wins its bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The chairperson of the bid committee Moulay Hafid Elalamy told Moroccan newswiire MAP that $3.2 billion from the total budget would be invested by the private sector.  Morocco is ranged against a joint bid from the US, Mexico and Canada.

MUMBAI:  The Hero Indian Super League Season 4 has recorded a cumulative reach of 81 million viewers in three weeks of telecast. An IANS report says the USSF head, an economist who is a member of the FIFA council, told ESPN that the national team's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup was the reason for him not entering the battle for presidency.
