Odisha FC were crowned the champions of the Super Cup football tournament after they prevailed over Bengaluru FC 2-1 in the summit showdown at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode on Tuesday, winning their first ever silverware.

While Brazilian Diego Maurício struck both goals for the winners in the first half, Sunil Chhetri scored from a penalty in the 84th minute to reduce the margin for Bengaluru FC.

MUMBAI: Eight I-League clubs have withdrawn from the upcoming Super Cup set to take place in Bhubaneswar this month. While seven teams - Mohun Bagan, Chennai City FC, East Bengal, Churchill Brothers, Aizawl FC, Gokulam Kerala and NEROCA - remained tight-lipped, Minerva Punjab FC cited the "unfair treatment" meted out by the AIFF to all the teams in the league as the reason for their collective decision.
