Recently, NASCAR took a major step to pass that tech-forward ethos to companies around the globe through a new initiative called the NASCAR Technology Partner Platform, with 30 technology companies slated to attend the platform’s inaugural event at Daytona International Speedway during Coke Zero Sugar 400 race weekend.

NEW YORK: Michael Jordan’s venture into NASCAR with Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin has a name and a number — 23XI Racing and the No. 23 — for the 2021 season. Jordan and Hamlin announced the details Thursday for the car that Bubba Wallace will drive next year. Other details, including manufacturer affiliation, are to be announced.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: NASCAR Wednesday announced the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, an historic slate that includes the introduction of three new race tracks – and new layouts at two venues – to the sport’s top level. Not since 1969 has NASCAR added this many new venues to its premier series schedule.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: NASCAR announced Wednesday a strategic digital partnership with Speed Sport, the media platform synonymous  with motor sport in America since 1934.  Speed Sport Network will now distribute select NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series events in 2020. SpeedSport.com also joins the NASCAR digital media platform for content sharing, ad sales, podcast distribution and website hosting.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: NASCAR and sports betting and iGaming platform BetMGM Tuesday announced a multi-year sports betting partnership.  As an Authorized Gaming Operator of NASCAR, BetMGM will collaborate with NASCAR to create and promote "engaging sports betting experiences", including introducing in-race betting options, for racing fans across the United States.

DAYTONA BEACH, Florida: NASCAR, which was looking to resume its suspended season with the May 9 race at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia, has ruled out that possibility, but remains intent on running a full 36-race season.  NASCAR had suspended its season four events into the year when sports shut down because of the coronavirus pandemic.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.: NASCAR Friday announced that it has successfully closed its $2 billion acquisition of International Speedway Corporation (ISC), merging its operations into one, new company moving forward.  The merger, which was announced in May and won shareholders' approval on Wednesday, brings under NASCAR's control 12 tracks that include Daytona, Talladega and Miami-Homestead Speedway.

NEW YORK: Sportradar, the world’s leading provider of sports data, media and entertainment solutions, Wednesday announced a multi-year extension of its media partnership with NASCAR. The renewed agreement follows a successful four-year partnership, where Sportradar distributed NASCAR’s live timing and scoring data to digital media partners such as the Associated Press and Bleacher Report.
