NEW DELHI: The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), in collaboration with the Mobile Premier League (MPL), has announced it will release a mobile version of a non-violent shooting game, with ISSF style trap and skeet formats, on August 15.

The partnership follows on from the last month's announcement by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that it was partnering with five international sports federations and game publishers to produce the Olympic Virtual Series (OVS), the first-ever, Olympic-licensed event for physical and non-physical virtual sports.

MUMBAI: The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has confirmed that the World Cup 2019 in New Delhi will have the largest broadcast ever for the sport’s marquee event, following a new deal with South Africa’s top private sports broadcaster, SuperSport. With the event starting on Thursday, SuperSport will be showcasing the event live on television in 50 countries of the African continent.

NEW DELHI: The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has confirmed that the hosting rights for the World Cup 2020 have been awarded to India with the capital to host the event.  The decision was taken at the ISSF’s ongoing executive committee meeting in Vienna in the presence of National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) president, Raninder Singh. The event’s dates are expected to be finalised soon.

NEW DELHI: National Rifle Association of India (NRAI)  president Raninder Singh has written to the finance ministry asking for a review of imposition of GST on sports equipment. Shooters in the country say they have been hit hard by the Goods and Services Tax, which envisages a 18 to 28 per cent tax on air guns, pistols, and accessories of the sport, most of which needs to be imported.
