Sky Sports, the incumbent rights holder in the UK for the TATA Indian Premier League in the previous three-year cycle (ending 2022), has agreed a deal to broadcast live the 2023 edition of world cricket's richest annual tournament.
The tournament begins on Friday March 31 as defending champions Gujarat Titans face four-time winners Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

LONDON: BT Sport has lost the live TV rights to Serie A matches in the UK and Ireland after Eleven Sports secured an exclusive three-year deal, starting with the upcoming 2018/19 season.
Owned by the Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani, Eleven Sports also gained the rights to Spain's La Liga from Sky in May and intends to launch two new channels, BBC reports.

LONDON: Amazon has made its biggest move yet in the sports broadcast arena, after securing one of two final Premier League rights packages. The e-commerce giant thus becomes the third player after Sky and BT to have a boot in EPL's UK rights.
This also means that Amazon is the first streaming-only platform to show the Premier League in the UK.

In 2014, the 21st Century Fox affiliate (21CF has a 39 per cent stake in Sky plc) had signed a three-year deal to broadcast the IPL for the first time in UK and Ireland.
