MUMBAI: ‘Incredible IPL School Quiz’, an initiative launched by Star Sports, official television broadcasters of the TATA IPL 2023, to engage young cricket fans across the country for the marquee tournament, has recently concluded the initial phase. 

The initial phase attracted over 1.93 lakh participants, the highest number of unique participants in an online quiz to date. More than 9,140 unique schools have participated in the quiz.

DUBAI: The U19 Cricket World Cup is set to be the most widely available edition in history thanks to expanded digital syndication of live coverage led by ICC’s global media rights partner, Star Sports.  In 102 countries fans will be able to watch the coverage via traditional broadcast which is set to be complimented by digital coverage in 204 countries, reaching a total of 1.3 billion viewers.

NEW DELHI: The Union Sports Ministry on Monday announced Star Sports as the broadcast and production partner for its flagship initiative Khelo India School Games (KISG) for the next five years from 2018 until 2022. Starting from 31st January, these Under-17 annual games will in its first edition have 16 different sports disciplines.

MUMBAI: Star India managing director Sanjay Gupta has confirmed the appointment of Gautam Thakar as chief executive officer - Star Sports.  In his new role, Thakar will lead the sports broadcast business as its CEO. His appointment is effective January 15 2018 and fills a vacancy open since April 1 when Nitin Kukreja resigned from the position.
