MUMBAI: Digital sports platform will be exclusively broadcasting the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) for its 40th anniversary season in India. 

The sports car racing series, DTM, is based in Germany, and features top-tier sports car racing action across Europe. Encompassing the entire eight-event series, the partnership will allow Indian fans to catch all the action live on FanCode from 26th April to 20th October. 

India’s racing sensation Arjun Maini will be in action for the Mercedes-AMG team.

NEW YORK: E-commerce giant Amazon has reportedly secured five-year UK TV rights to the US Open, the last tennis grand slam of the year.  While the deal terms were not disclosed, UK media reports that Amazon paid about $40 million (£50m) for the rights. The latest acquisition buttresses Amazon’s £50m, five-year deal for the UK rights to the ATP World Tour, for which it outbid Sky, UK's Guardian reports.

MUMBAI: Discovery branded sports channel DSport has acquired the exclusive India broadcast rights of Japan’s largest professional wrestling promotion and the second largest promotion in the world – the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The rights have been acquired from Japanese producer and broadcaster TV Asahi Corporation.

MUMBAI: Discovery Communications branded sports channel DSport will broadcast the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018. According to an official statement, DSport will air the 34 matches of the third edition of the T20 competition in Pakistan scheduled to begin on 23 February 2018. PSL will see participation from six teams including debutant Multan Sultans.

LONDON: The Professional Squash Association (PSA) has renewed broadcast deals in the Indian sub-continent, Malaysia and Indonesia. Sony Ten holds the PSA World Tour broadcast rights for the Indian subcontinent. The PSA played up the the renewal of its broadcast deal with Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad (Astro) until 2021 as Malaysia is a key market.
