The All Indian Football Federation announced the Premier 1 club licensing results for the 2024-25 season on Thursday. 

Punjab FC is the only club to have received a direct license.

Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 champion Mohun Bagan Super Giant and ISL Cup champion Mumbai City FC received the license with sanctions. Joining them in this category is Kolkata giant East Bengal, FC Goa, Bengaluru FC, Chennaiyin FC, NorthEast United FC and Mohammedan Sporting, which was promoted to the ISL after it won the I-League this season.

MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League governing council has put on hold, for the time being, a proposal from some IPL franchises for "friendlies abroad" till it has clarity on the ICC's Futures Tours Programme (FTP). While the matter came up for discussion, a senior IPL governing council member told PTI that "it's been discussed and the matter has been filed".

MUMBAI: The players' auction for the next Indian Premier League will be held on December 19 in Kolkata, the IPL governing council decided at a meeting here on Tuesday. The players' auction, being conducted for the first time in Kolkata, is the home turf of BCCI president Sourav Gangulay as well as the Shah Rukh Khan co-owned Kolkata Knight Riders franchise.
