On an unforgettable evening at the historic Palacio de Cibeles in the heart of Madrid, with media from across the world in attendance, Djokovic was named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for a record-equalling fifth time.

Fed Cup shifts Asia/Oceania tie from China to Kazakhstan
LONDON: The ITF has announced that the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Group I event, due to take place next month at the Dongguan Tennis Centre in Dongguan, China, P.R., will now be played in the National Tennis Centre in Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana), Kazakhstan.  The Asia/Oceania Group I contest has India, China, Indonesia, Korea, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan competing.

ACT extends Bengaluru Open tennis sponsorship
BENGALURU: Atria Convergence Technologies (ACT Fibernet), provider of fiber-focussed wired broadband ISP, which has sponsored the previous two editions of the Bengaluru Open tennis tournament, has extended the partnership for another year. Through executive search firm SRI Executive AELTC selected Bolton after a "wide-ranging global search process".
