Bira 91 partners 5 IPL teams ahead of 2023 season kick-off

Bira 91, which lays claim to being India’s fastest growing beer brand, Tuesday announced partnerships with five Indian Premier League franchises ahead of the new season. 

Serving as the Official Partner for Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, Bira 91 is set to bring a "fresh and innovative approach to fan engagement" for India’s biggest annual sporting spectacle.

IPL 3rd among world's top paying leagues in average salary
MUMBAI: The Indian Premier League is the tenth highest paying league in the world, according to the 2017 edition of the Global Sports Salaries Survey (GSSS) 2017, published by Sporting Intelligence. In average average salary ranking however, IPL comes in as the number 3 league.  Total salaries in the IPL is $67,166,666 (£51,666,666) while average salary per player is $3,898,065 (£2,998,512).

TA Sekar steps down as Delhi Daredevils director
NEW DELHI: Indian Premier League team Delhi Daredevils on Thursday advised that director and key member of the think-tank TA Sekar has decided to step down from his role in the franchise. Delhi Daredevils chief executive Hemant Dua confirmed that the former India fast bowler will no longer be part of the franchise for "personal reasons". Sekar has been associated with Delhi Daredevils since its inception.

BCCI announces home series fixtures against Oz, Kiwis

England lists India 2018 tour dates,BCCI yet to give Oz tour itinerary
MUMBAI: The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Tuesday that the country would host the Indian cricket team in a five-match Test series in 2018. The teams will play three Twenty20 matches in July, followed by three one-day internationals and then Tests at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Trent Bridge, the Rose Bowl and The Oval. It will be India's second five-match series in England in 59 years.

Franchises to get 40% of BCCI's IPL spoils
MUMBAI: Broadcast revenue from the cash rich Indian Premier League will be shared between the BCCI and the franchises in a 60:40 ratio, BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry told the Indian Express.
