LONDON: Formula 1 has revealed the calendar for the 2022 season, with a record-breaking 23 Grand Prix schedule being approved by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council.

The season will begin in Bahrain on 20 March and finish in Abu Dhabi on 20 November, one month before Christmas – with Miami hosting the first of two races in the United States.

Due to ongoing pandemic conditions, China will not be included on the 2022 calendar. China will be restored to the calendar as soon as conditions allow.

MADRID: MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports has signed a preliminary agreement to bring Hungary onto the MotoGP calendar from 2022.  A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Hungarian government and Dorna Sports that would see five Grands Prix raced in the nation, from 2022 to 2026, subject to the Promoter’s Contract being signed before the end of February 2020.

MUMBAI: Motorsport's world governing body FIA has approved Formula One’s 21-race calendar for 2019. FIA's World Motor Sport Council, which met in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, confirmed that that 11 races would be held in Europe, five in Asia, four in the Americas and one in Australia. The season will start one week earlier and finish one week later.
