MUMBAI: The live broadcast of the first 29 matches of TATA IPL 2023 has surpassed 40 crore viewers, recording a growth of 24% in TVR compared to the last edition, TV rights holder Disney Star asserted Thursday. 

The reach garnered for the live broadcast of the first 29 matches is also 3.7cr higher than the reach of the entire 2022 edition, the network further stated. As per an official release, Disney Star has also received the highest-ever reach across all editions of IPL in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP and MP for the live broadcast of the first 29 matches.

NEW DELHI: The organisers of Legends League Cricket season 2, which will get underway from September 16-October 5th, have announced Disney Star as the official broadcasters of the tournament All 16 matches will be aired LIVE on the Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar.

MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zee) and Disney Star, Tuesday announced that they have entered into a strategic licensing agreement by way of which Disney Star will license the television broadcasting rights of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Men’s and Under 19 (U-19) global events for a period of four years, to ZEE.

DUBAI: The International Cricket Council Saturday evening confirmed Disney Star will be the home of all ICC cricket in India for the next four years having won the TV and digital rights to both men’s and women’s global events through to the end of 2027.

MUMBAI: This is interesting. It looks like Disney Star has taken a strategic call to let go media rights to the US Open, the final Grand Slam of the calendar year. The rights have been picked up by Sony Pictures Networks India. Without any fanfare it needs mentioning.
