MUMBAI: Digital sports platform will be exclusively broadcasting the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) for its 40th anniversary season in India. 

The sports car racing series, DTM, is based in Germany, and features top-tier sports car racing action across Europe. Encompassing the entire eight-event series, the partnership will allow Indian fans to catch all the action live on FanCode from 26th April to 20th October. 

India’s racing sensation Arjun Maini will be in action for the Mercedes-AMG team.

MADRID: The Royal Spanish Football Association (RFEF) has refuted claims made by Mediapro, the Spanish communications company and rights broker, that the rights tender to the Copa del Rey have been suspended. A statement issued by Mediapro claimed that Madrid's Commercial Court Nº 12 had ruled in its favour after it had been excluded from the original tender.

MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (SPN) has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights for marquee FIFA events in 2019, including the Women’s World Cup France, the U-20 World Cup Poland, the U-17 World Cup Brazil and the Beach Soccer World Cup Paraguay.

MIAMI: C&W Communications and Digicel Group announced Monday that their new sports broadcasting joint venture, Caribbean Premier Sports Limited (CPSL), has won the exclusive rights to broadcast Premier League football in the Caribbean for the three seasons 2019/20 to 2021/22, which includes every match broadcast LIVE, via streaming and on-demand.

LONDON: W Series has appointed leading sports marketing agency, Pitch International, to sell media rights to the inaugural season of the women’s motor-racing championship. Pitch International will seek broadcast deals for W Series in all markets outside the UK. It already works with a range of elite sporting properties, including the World Rally Championship, the FA Cup and Guinness Six Nations Rugby.

MUMBAI: Social media giant Facebook has holed a media rights agreement with Augusta National Golf Club to broadcast the 2019 US Masters, which teed off Thursday, to select markets in West Asia for free. The agreement includes live coverage of all four days of the tournament in Augusta, as well as the green jacket ceremony, which crowns the winner of the competition.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court Tuesday sought Prasar Bharati's response on a plea Delhi-based Sports Flashes, a multi sports content app, alleging that the pubcaster was resorting to arm-twisting to force it to give up the audio rights it holds for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup. The High Court sought Prasar Bharati's stand on the petition filed by India Sports Flashes Pvt Ltd.
